TrueLevel™Free Radon Testing Program

A clearer, more confident way to understand your home’s true radon level
Why We Created This Program
Radon levels rise and fall throughout the year as weather, ventilation, and daily living patterns change. A single short-term test only gives you a brief view of the level of radon in your home. The Utah Radon Coalition created the TrueLevel™ Radon Testing Program to give families a clearer, more confident understanding of your home’s true year‑round radon level, not just a snapshot from a single week.
The program uses the Radon Navigator™ PARS (Projected Annual Radon Score) tool to convert your test result into a TrueLevel™ Annual Radon Score. Moving past guesswork and mitigator intuition, it is built using real home physics, Utah‑specific seasonal behavior, local climate responses, structural stack‑effect modeling, and test‑duration patterns, bringing mathematical precision to what used to be a best‑guess estimate; delivering a level of accuracy that mitigators and generic national calculators simply cannot match.
How the Program Works
Participants choose the test length that fits their home, their comfort level, and their schedule:
  • 10‑Day Test
  • 30‑Day Test
  • 90‑Day Test
All three options produce an annual radon score. The difference between them is confidence. That is, how sure you can be that your result reflects your home’s true year‑round radon level. Longer tests capture more of your home’s normal behavior, smoothing out short‑term swings caused by weather, HVAC cycles, or open windows.
How the test options compare:
Test Length
What it Shows
Confidence Level
10-Day Test
A useful snapshot of your home’s radon behavior over several days.
Moderate confidence — a meaningful starting point.
30-Day Test
A clearer picture of your home’s typical radon pattern.
High confidence — captures more day‑to‑day variation.
90-Day Test
The most stable and representative view of your home’s radon level.
Highest confidence — the gold standard for long‑term accuracy.
Once your test is completed, we will receive your score, send it to PARS for development of your TrueLevel™ Annual Radon Score and send you a report of the score and other information.
How to Use Your TrueLevel™ Annual Radon Score
Entering your TrueLevel™ Annual Radon Score in our Radon Navigator™ decision‑making tools helps you understand your true level of radon exposure and make a confident, informed radon decision. You can access the tools by clicking here.
If you decide to mitigate, we will provide a list of certified, Navigator‑approved mitigators who meet our standards for quality and transparency.
A Note About Safety
Radon is a long‑term, cumulative exposure risk. It does not behave like carbon monoxide or a gas leak. Waiting for your TrueLevel™ Annual Radon Score and taking time to work with our Navigator tools to make an informed mitigation decision is not dangerous.
